What better way to warm up to the new season than a Six-a-Side tournament, and all in the name of Charity Mate. Well the Hodder and Williams households combind for the first time to showcase their talents.

The rules of the tournament stated that each team must field one female and one player over the age of 35 during each game. So who better to have as the over aged players than the two dad's. So strong was the female talent on offer that two were used.
Dispite four good solid performances, it was not to be and the exit door was shown at the group stages. The results going 0-1, 3-0, 0-1, 0-0. Finishing with a plus goal difference. Dispite the early exit we had one of the safest defences, proving also that we also had the best keeper of the tournament with Madge, who pulled off one excellent save after another.
The two dad's Ray and Dave also showed that even after all this time the touch is still there.
Ray, lone striker causing more than a few problems for defenders.
Dave, part of the defence. Starting things off from the back.
Scissors as always was commanding the ball, busy  and creating.
Nick was unlucky not to get on the score sheet, and grew with each game.
Claire always getting stuck in, winning some important tackles.
Ginge commanding at the back, and scoring from the spot.
Rav  the anchor man in midfield, getting on the scoresheet.
Madge, eat your heart out Barthez.

How did this team not proceed?
There is always next year.......................
Ray Hodder, Rav, Liam Williams & Dave Williams
