I
n a Nutshell:
There are times when bands you love just bring something out that blow you away....this is one of those times.

Stand Out Tracks:
Moonshine, Just the way I'm feeling, Comfort in Sound & Forget about tomorrow.
Everyone likes Feeder, they are one of those bands who make great music, but no one really owns any of their music. They are regarded as one of Britains best bands, and not many would argue, most of us know the words to their singles. But like I say, not many people own any of thier music. Maybe this is why they have always been just slightly in the shadows of the so called bigger bands.
And as a result Comfort in Sound is not going to get the coverage it so deserves. This is one hell of an album. The album and the single "Just the way I'm feeling" are this years "There goes the fear" and The Last Broadcast".
Like Doves, Feeder have released an album we all knew they could but were not expecting. And that just makes it better. Music that takes you by surprise always makes you love it more.
There is nothing at all not to like on this album, it's loud, full of excellent music and great songs. This is a statement from a band who now wish to join the big players in the music world. Feeder have said in a few interviews that they just intend to keep making music that improves with each album without staying where they are. They have also said that this
album is still not a result of them peaking. It sure wets the mouth for what they could possibly come up with next.
Comfort in Sound deserves to be talked about for a long time to come, but while the public stay convinced that the likes of ColdPlay are where it's at, monster albums like this one are not going to get the press they deserve. Somehow Doves "The Last Broadcast" missed out on everything last year, I get the feeling this album will get the same treatment, and that is a disgrace and an insult.
"Just the way I'm feeling" is possibly already the best single of the year. And when you think that there are plenty more tracks on here that are just as good, it makes you wonder why it has taken Feeder so
long to bring an album this good out. Moonshine is a huge track, as are Forget about Tomorrow and Comfort in Sound. They deserve to be classed as anthems.
It's time you all stopped thinking of Feeder as just THAT band you like.
Comfort in Sound HAS to be in everyones collection.
