|So that will be farwell to Wembley then. Not a very good way to say goodbye was it. And we also had to say goodbye to Kevin Keegan. Judging by the papers and most of the fans on the radio and TV no one is really sad to see him go. In my opinion the papers have gone right over the top on this one. Most calling him a bottler and a traitor. Yeah maybe he should have stayed until after the Finland game but if the man is ready to go then there is no point in him staying. But going back to the papers, I stumbled across the famous David Mellor coloum. And here is where we start today's moan..........
Dave Mellor writes some crap at the best of times, and if you have ever heard his show on RadioFive Live you will know he also talks a load of rubbish. Disagree with him and he will slate you for it and slag you off on the air, as well as cutting you off in mid-conversation. But his paper coloum has always been a bad read. I can't imagine many people even read it. But for some reason sunday I did. It was about the departue of Kevin Keegan. Dave Mellor wasted no time in slagging the ex England manager off. His opening comments called him a bottler and a traitor for leaving the post and how disapointed he was that Keegan had walked out. He also said he was tactically naiveand was taking England backwards. Now is it just me or is this a bit confusing. He has firstly said that he thought that the man should stay and then in the same breath said he was no good as a manager. ?????
So what the F%$£ is this idiot on about. Make your thick mind up will ya. What do you want??? Keegan to stay and keep taking the team back years as you put it, or go and leave it all in better hands (hopefully). As far as I can see Mellor has just used this opportunity to get himself in the public eye again. Jumped on the bandwagon and splured out a load of waffle about a bloke who knows 100 times more about the game than him.
The bloke is a failed politician who was caught shagging some right minger whilst she was wearing his Chelsea kit. He must have been paying her. I mean look at him, he looks like a cross between a Horse and Plug from the Bash Street Kids. I for one think that Keegan has been honest and left thinking it was for the good of the team. He did not want to leave haft way through and leave someone else to try and get the team to the world cup with only 3 games or something. People like Mellor go on about he was shite and did not have a clue what does he think he is doing being England Manager. Well cock suck someone gave him the job, he was approached to do the job. It was someone else who thought he could do it. Keegan is a passionate man who wanted to try and get England back to the top, saw he could not do it and went. Was totally open about it, did not give us any flannel about not enough time with the players, I am the son of god, never had my best players...blah blah blah. Yet you Mellor, lie and are dishonest for a living. Your whole life is covered in slease and you have the cheek to slag someone off who tried their best at something without cheating or lying, saw he was not up to it and left, so someone else had enough time to do something about it...........Go back and get hit with the ugly stick some more will ya Mellor. Shut the f%$£ up and keep your stupid opinions to yourself. Your a looser who somehow nobbled your way into the world of the media. If you really want to slag someone off then it has to be the F.A. for appointing him. But then someone like you would be too short sighted to see that wouldn't you. Only a nebula like yourself would be thick enough for calling someone a bottler and a traitor for doing the best they could at their job. Maybe Keegan could have waited until after the Finland game but would it have made any difference?????? If the stories are right and the F.A. were begging Keegan to stay then surly he has done us a favor for leaving knowing he was not up to it rather than staying and picking up his cheque at the end of every month. But that is not the man and he is passionate about his country, he wants the best for them. Regardless of his tactics and the teams he has picked you have to respect him for that. But for someone like Mellor where honesty does not exsist in his vocab, it must be hard to understand.....
